CALL FOR APPLICATION

for the

Milán Füst Translation Grant

The Milán Füst Translation Foundation of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences invites applications for its Translation Grant in 2011.

Applications are invited from those seeking grant for the translation of Hungarian literary works into foreign languages or for the promotion of Hungarian literature in foreign languages, provided they have a publisher’s contract for the publication of the work(s) eligible for such grant. Applicants translating Milán Füst’s work(s) into foreign languages or making regular contribution to the popularisation of Milán Füst’s works in foreign languages abroad will be preferred. 

Applications, preferably in Hungarian, are to be submitted by 15 September 2011, with a bibliography of the applicant’s works and activities attached. No special application form exists.

Information on the activities of the Milán Füst Translation Foundation of the HAS and a list of earlier recipients of the Translation Grant are available on the website www.fustmilan.hu.

Recipients will be awarded the Translation Grant with all due solemnity at 11:00am on Friday, 25 November 2011, at a location to be specified later.
